Ride the lightning


My image

After many unsuccessful experiments in shooting lightnings, this time I got it! The choice of parameters is always critical as well as very difficult. I chose a long exposure time, just to be able to catch the subject. Concurrently, I used a low ISO speed to reduce noise and to prevent from overexposing the light. Usually, the time between two lightnings is quite constant. Therefore, just try to measure it and good luck.

Ursa major

This was one of my first experiments with long time exposures. Unfortunately, the place where I live is not suitable for taking this kind of photos, due to a very high light pollution. However, the trees helped me in having a clear image of the Ursa major constellation.
