It’s me again!

DPP07DA0117111A02 – It’s me again! (Erithacus rubecula) – (Canon EOS 7D, Canon 400mm f/5.6 L, 1/320 s, f/5.6, ISO800, tripod)
Two days were necessary to take this photo, despite robins are so common! Finally, it was where I wanted it to be: under the pine next to some melting snow residues with some green grasses and the base of the trunk. There it was! the snow was melting and the robin was a little bit wet. This little bird fascinated me since I was a child, but I already told this story… Anyway, I am still in love with this subject! In my garden there are few robins always searching food residues and continuously pointing out their sense of territory. They found what they wanted and so did I. With this photo I started to appreciate the optical quality of my new Canon 400mm. Compared to the previous combination, i.e. the Sigma 70-200 + TC2X, this lens is completely in another planet!
